FAQ

How do I stop accepting orders when the kitchen is overwhelmed?

Order hold instructions: manually during peak times or automatically before closing.

Issue

During peak hours the kitchen can't keep up, yet online orders keep coming in. Or an order arrives just before closing that can't be fulfilled.

What's changing

You pause orders for breaks, during peak hours, or automatically before closing, and your customer sees a clear message.

Order hold step by step

Step 1: turn on manual hold

In settings you can toggle the hold 'right away' when the kitchen needs a moment to breathe.

Step 2: set your opening hours

Automatic hold works based on your restaurant's opening hours.

Step 3: choose your margin

Enter how many minutes before closing the system should stop accepting new orders.

Step 4: check the message

Your customer sees a clear message instead of an empty order form.

Tip: ongoing orders

Hold doesn't affect orders that have already been placed.

Tip: resuming orders

You resume orders with the same toggle when the kitchen is ready.
