FAQ
How do I mark allergens and vegetarian dishes in my restaurant menu?
How to tag dishes: create labels, assign them to menu items, enable filters, and add allergens.
Issue
Guests ask servers about every dish: is it vegetarian, is it spicy, does it contain gluten. In your online menu, this information must be visible right away.
What's changing
Labels and allergens appear with each dish, and customers can filter the entire menu with a single click.
Tagging dishes step by step
Step 1: create labels
Add your own labels, such as vegetarian, spicy, gluten-free, and assign a color to each one.
Step 2: assign them to dishes
Tag your dishes with the appropriate labels — in the panel you can see how many items have each one.
Step 3: enable filtering
If you'd like, let customers filter the menu by labels. This option is optional.
Step 4: add allergens
You enter allergens in a separate section that guests can expand next to the dish.
Tip: check as a guest
Open the menu as a customer and make sure filters and allergen sections are easy to read.
Tip: update when things change
When you change a recipe or supplier, update the labels and allergens for that dish as well.
